The longer Lucas Torreira stays at Fiorentina, the Italian media gets more confident that La Viola will sign him from Arsenal on a permanent deal.
The latest update on this subject comes from Calcio Mercato, who points out that talks are ongoing for his long-term stay at the Serie A side.
The website now writes that the meetings between Fiorentina and the player’s agent Pablo Betancur are ‘becoming more and more frequent’.
When Arsenal agreed to loan Torreira to La Viola last summer, the deal included a buying option of €15m. Now it’s said the Italian club are ‘working on the ransom’, probably to get a little discount in it.
Calcio Mercato points out how good Torreira has been for Fiorentina this season, as the football he found there ‘seems to be made especially for him’. That only makes it more clear that he’ll soon sign for them permanently, letting go of his contract with Arsenal which runs until 2023.
