Earlier today, we covered a report from Catalan newspaper Sport, who explained that Barcelona technical secretary Eric Abidal has made contact with Nicolas Pepe’s agent after receiving information that several clubs are after the Lille forward.

Apart from the La Liga winners, a few clubs interested in the Ivory Coast international are Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Arsenal, according to Le10 Sport.

The French outlet discusses PSG’s interest in the Ligue 1 star, who has scored 16 goals and registered eight assists in the league this season.

It’s claimed that Thomas Tuchel’s side are well positioned to sign the 23-year-old, but they are not the most advanced club. Barcelona and Arsenal are mentioned as ‘serious competitors’ for the player, but Bayern Munich are the ones pushing ahead most strongly.

The ‘hottest track’ for Pepe would currently lead to Bayern and it’s the Bundesliga winners who are ahead in the race to sign the attacker.

Pepe’s contract at Lille lasts until 2022.
