Dusan Vlahovic’s reluctance to sign for Arsenal in the January window is something which is reported constantly in Italy.
The striker is thought to want to stay at Fiorentina until the end of the season, and then he’d quite fancy a move to Juventus, preferring to stay in Italian football rather than moving to the Premier League.
Fiorentina would rather sell to any other club than Juventus, and that’s why La Viola will have been encouraging interest from the Gunners, despite the player’s agents trying to kill things at every turn.
The Tuscany side are concerned that if things drag on until the summer then it’s likelier that a move to Turin happens, and there’s been suspicion that the player’s agents have already been working on that.
Nevertheless, Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini insists that Arsenal’s efforts for a January transfer are genuine, and things have gone beyond a simple expression of interest.
Quoted by Viola News, Ceccarini said: “Arsenal’s offer for Dusan Vlahovic is there and it is concrete: 70 million. But the player’s agents have never considered this proposal, asking for incredible commissions. As far as I know Dusan Vlahovic is not putting his foot down to leave now, he wants to finish the season with Fiorentina. And then in June he will still want to stay in Italy, for this reason the Juve track is the hottest one.”
Fiorentina just want cash, rather than players being involved in the deal, and that’s where things could get difficult for Juventus.
