Arsenal could push ahead with plans to sign RB Salzburg youngster Karim Adeyemi with an offer of €10m mooted by the club’s management.
That’s according to Todo Fichajes, who say the Gunners interest in the forward has not changed despite the sacking of Unai Emery.
The website claims Arsenal intend to keep targeting young players for the future and as such, they have set their sights on Adeyemi.
The 17-year-old, who is spending the season on loan at FC Liefering and has eight goals and seven assists in 13 games so far, has been ‘in the crosshairs’ for Arsenal for ‘some time’.
They are now considering a bid and would offer Leipzig €10m to bring him to the Premier League.
Whether that would be an acceptable amount for Salzburg isn’t mentioned although it seems unlikely given previous reports.
Last month we covered Arsenal’s interest in Adeyemi courtesy of Transfermarkt, who stated the Gunners, Liverpool and Barcelona were keen.
According to their information, Barça had already seen a €15m bid turned down, so a €10m bid from Arsenal is unlikely to be treated any differently.
