According to a claim in the Turkish media, Arsenal are now the ‘most serious buyer’ for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida.

The Croatia international has been linked with the Premier League club in the past week, with reports yesterday that Arsenal are expected to make an offer for the player today.

Aksam have reported on the latest developments over the future of Vida and his potential move to the Premier League. The 29 year old has in recent weeks been linked with a move to the English top flight following his displays at the World Cup.

Besiktas president Firket Orman is ready to speak to interested clubs from the Premier League and he’s prepared to accept offers of €20m plus €5m bonuses.

It’s reported Arsenal could be prepared to offer cash and also players in exchange to land Vida before the transfer deadline.

The Turkish club now have a race against time to sell their defender to the highest bidder.
