Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City are all in the picture to sign Fluminense youngster Matheus Reis, according to Calciomercato.it.
The 16-year-old has already trained with the Brazilian club’s senior team but is yet to make an appearance for them. He has made seven appearances for Brazil U17s, scoring a goal in the process.
Reis is hyped as one of the forwards for the future and has caught the attention of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City from England.
It’s claimed these four clubs have already asked Fluminense about the youngster, when they were finding out information on André.
According to Calciomercato.it, Reis’ deal lasts until 2028 and has a €50m release clause. The report adds the figure doesn’t scare Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea or Manchester City, and they would all have to battle it out with Spanish clubs for Reis.
When explaining the teenager’s profile, the website says he’s ‘practically implacable in front of goal and is considered a mix between’ Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus and Santos’ Marcos Leonardo.
If any of the Premier League sides were to agree a deal with Fluminense for Reis, they will not be able to bring him to the UK until he turns 18 years of age in April 2025.
