Arsenal have been ‘looking into’ a possible move for RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku, with the 23-year-old unhappy about his playing time in Germany.

That’s according to SportBILD, who open the door to a possible move to the Emirates this summer.

Nkunku has been a regular for Leipzig this season and impressed, too, with six goals and five assists in 22 Bundesliga games so far.

The 23-year-old is considered one of the hottest prospects in Leipzig’s ranks and, if reports are to be believed, has been catching the eye of several big sides in Europe.

Arsenal are among those regularly named among his suitors, and a report at the end of March stated they could push forward with a move, having had their eye on Nkunku before his move from Paris Saint Germain in 2019.

SportBILD pick up on that today and claim that a move is very much a possibility as the midfielder is not ‘satisfied’ with his him playing time or the often defensive role he has been handed.

That’s seemingly led to the possibility of a move elsewhere, and ‘Arsenal have been looking into him’ ahead of the summer.

The newspaper, though, do claim that it is ‘questionable’ whether Nkunku will find a ‘better club’ than Leipzig were he to move.

That’s something of a slight on Arsenal, given they are a bigger club, although they are out of the Champions League, something Leipzig can certainly offer.

Either way, it seems they’re weighing up a move if Nkunku decides he wants to leave Germany this summer, which at the moment is a distinct possibility.
