Arsenal and Newcastle United are among the clubs in the picture to sign Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot in the summer, according to Tutto Juve.
The France international has around three months left on his current deal and it’s unclear where he’ll be playing next season. His contract situation has drawn the attention of clubs in England and across Europe.
Both Arsenal and Newcastle United are tagged and it’s said they are the ‘most interested’ teams from the Premier League.
Arsenal and Newcastle would face competition from Barcelona and Atlético Madrid as the La Liga duo also like the 28-year-old, according to the report.
The report also says it ‘will not be easy’ for the Old Lady to renew the player’s contract since the aforementioned four clubs will be their rivals.
Rabiot’s former club, Paris Saint-Germain, have been rumoured to be interested, but he ruled out a move back to the Ligue 1 side on Tuesday.
When asked about his future, the Frenchman insisted that he hasn’t yet made a decision on his future yet.
“I haven’t decided personally on my future. It’s true that last year I stayed at Juventus knowing I wouldn’t play in Europe. It was an important choice from me. Next year, we should be playing the Champions League and take part in the Club World Cup. These are things that will be considered, but I really haven’t made a decision on that,” he said.
“I’m waiting to finish the season and then we’ll talk with the club and I’ll see then. For now, I’m trying to stay focused, to come back from my little niggle, to finish well and to prepare for the Euros well. I’m not in a rush to take a decision. I am going to think a lot because I’m arriving at an important age in my career. I feel good. I’m at my peak and it will be important to make the right choice.”
The Arsenal and Newcastle target has four goals and three assists from 24 games for Juve this season.
