Last week, we covered claims from Italy which stated Arsenal could rekindle their interest in Juventus’ Dušan Vlahović.

The Gunners failed to sign the 24-year-old before he agreed to join the Serie A side from Fiorentina in January 2022.

Calciomercato mention Arsenal when covering the striker’s situation at the Turin club.

His deal lasts until 2026, and includes a €12m net per year salary. Juve haven’t yet made progress to tie him down to a new contract. Vlahović could face competition once Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Munai completes a loan move to the Italian club.

Taking the sporting aspect and his contractual situation into account, the report says this window could be a ‘perfect opportunity’ to cash in from his sale. Arsenal would be in the market for a new striker after Gabriel Jesus suffered a serious injury earlier this month.

The report states the Gunners have already made contact with the Serbia international’s entourage. They add Juventus can sell him if there’s an offer of €55-60m in January.

Calciomercato claim ‘there is time to negotiate, but it won’t be infinite’, meaning Arsenal have to step up quickly if they wish to sign Vlahović. That’s because Juventus need time to look for a replacement if he leaves in January.

Chelsea are also mentioned as another option.
