Even though the Italian media is glad to report that Roma reached an agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of Tammy Abraham, there are still some reasons to be cautious before getting confident about this move.
Corriere Dello Sport details the situation today, saying the Giallorossi director Tiago Pinto managed to make a deal to sign the striker on a loan deal with an obligatory buying clause of €40m.
The problem is that there are ‘two obstacles’: one of them is the competition from Arsenal, who are in touch with his entourage and have a meeting with his agent today.
That means Abraham asked ‘for a few hours to reflect on Roma’s proposal’, since his priority is to stay in London.
Roma also must convince the player to accept their personal offer.
They’ve put on the table a salary of €4m per season, while Abraham wants €5m, so Corriere says the solution could be to add some ‘easy bonuses’.
The outlet claims there should be more updates in the ‘next few hours’, as the meeting with Arsenal will probably have some big importance on the 23-year-old’s future.
