Hurriyet claim Besiktas have a problem with Mohamed Elneny over unpaid wages and there’s a possibility that the Egyptian won’t return when the Turkish league restarts.

It’s reported the Arsenal-owned midfielder, who has been a key player for Besiktas manager Sergen Yalcin this season, is unhappy with Besiktas board’s actions and he wants to be paid before returning to play.

The Turkish newspaper claims Besiktas owe €1.3m to Elneny and they are trying to schedule a meeting with the player to solve the issue.

Besiktas’ board will now reportedly hold talks with the player and try to convince him with an alternative payment plan.

According to Hurriyet, the 27 year old has written a letter to Besiktas over his unpaid wages and it seems the Turkish side’s financial troubles are hitting them once again.

There have been recent claims the Istanbul side want to keep the Arsenal man beyond this season, but given the wages issue that may not be possible.
