Arsenal midfielder Mattéo Guendouzi has made it clear he wants a permanent exit from the club in the summer, preferably to Marseille.
The French midfielder is currently on loan at the French club until the end of the season, having joined them in the summer.
It’s his second loan spell in the last two years, having spent last season with Hertha Berlin after falling out of favour at Arsenal under Mikel Arteta.
The pair are believed to have had a major falling out behind the scenes following a high profile incident against Brighton at the end of the 2019/20 season.
Since then, Guendouzi has been out of favour, with it clear that Arsenal would like to get rid of him on a permanent basis but are yet to find a club willing to match their asking price.
His current loan deal with Arsenal does include an option to make it permanent at the end of the season, and Guendouzi has made it clear he is hoping that is taken up.
“I am on loan,” he told RMC Sport.
“I am focused on what I have to do with OM; I want to be a part of OM for the long-term.
“I am very comfortable with OM; I want to continue having fun in Marseille.”
