Mario Lemina is having an odd season at Juventus. The club’s plan was to have the player in the starting team, but due to his poor form early in the season, the midfielder lost his place and ended up benched.
Last night, he started a game for the first time since October. And a comeback to the team creates a confusing situation for those who expected the player to leave in January.
According to Calcio Mercato today, both Arsenal and Leicester City tried to sign the player during the summer window. But despite the clubs’ efforts, Juventus have always said no.
Now with this new start, the website claims that the ‘cards are shuffled’, leaving many possibilities open, which may interest Arsene Wenger and Claudio Ranieri.
Juventus will probably evaluate the player in the next few games so they’ll know if it’s worth keeping the player or not. Lemina still has a decent market price so it would be a good time to sell him if Juventus are unsure about his long term future.
