Arsenal’s interest in Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez has been a constant topic in the Italian media, as the Gunners seem to be clearly looking for a new centre-forward for the next season.
Today, it’s outlet Gazzetta dello Sport who brings a paragraph about the 24-year-old, pointing out he continues to be desired by several European sides.
The report gives Arsenal a mention, claiming the Gunners are ‘in the lead’ among the Premier League clubs who are in the race to sign Martinez this summer.
Gazzetta, however, wonders about the ‘appeal’ that the London side would have to attract him, as he may have more interesting options on the table.
This isn’t the first time something like that has been said in the Italian media.
This week, we’ve already seen Calciomercato claiming Lautaro would not be so keen on signing for Arsenal, as there are other clubs who’d be more attractive for his future.
So in case the Gunners actually go for his signing, they better be prepared to show strong arguments and make the player change his mind.
