Arsenal are ‘keen’ on Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Brandt, who will be allowed to leave for the right price this summer.

That’s according to BILD, who back up recent claims that the Gunners could target the German midfielder after their interest in January.

Brandt has emerged as a target for Arsenal this summer, with them likely to be on the hunt for a replacement for Martin Odegaard when he returns to Real Madrid.

A recent report in Germany indicated they had revived their interest because Odegaard was not going to be available, and BILD pick up on that today.

They state the Gunners are ‘keen’ on Brandt because the midfielder can hardly ‘get a leg up’ for Dortmund this season. In other words, he’s out of the picture and struggling for form.

The player himself is ‘not averse’ to a new challenge, and for a fee of around €20m, he could be allowed to leave the Bundesliga club this summer.

That, therefore, is the price Arsenal will have to pay if they wish to get their man and the creative midfielder Mikel Arteta is seemingly after.

Now, there is no mention Arsenal are going to make a move as yet, but this is the latest in a growing list of reports about their interest in Brandt, so he’s certainly one to keep an eye on moving forwards.
