Arsenal have now joined Tottenham Hotspur chasing Galatasaray’s Victor Nelsson.
On May 26th, multiple reports coming out of the Turkish press stated Spurs have reached an agreement with the defender. Two days ago, Takvim reported Tottenham are seen as the most serious candidate to sign him.
Ange Postecoglou’s side are set to face competition from Arsenal and Sevilla, if the latest report from Fanatik is to be believed.
The report states the centre-back has received interest from the Gunners and Sevilla, but there’s no mention of Tottenham’s desire to secure his services.
It’s claimed the offers in the region of €15-16m were met with rejection from the Istanbul club. The Denmark international has a €25m release clause and his employer won’t part ways with him for less than this figure.
In the last meeting, Galatasaray’s management took a ‘final decision’, which is to sell the 24-year-old to ‘whoever pays the price’ mentioned in his clause.
With Arsenal now emerging as Nelsson’s new suitor, they could sign him in the summer by paying €25m to Galatasaray.
