Unai Emery was at Arsenal for less than 18 months and after enduring a difficult start to his second season at the Emirates. The Gunners showed him the exit door in November 2019 and replaced him with Mikel Arteta the following month.

Arteta guided the north London club to the FA Cup success in May 2019 and also won the Community Shield later that year.

Under his orders, Arsenal struggled in the last two terms, but the Spaniard turned things around this campaign. They are fourth in the table with 54 points and are three points ahead of fifth placed Tottenham Hotspur, with a game in hand.

Arsenal are on course to bring Champions League football back to the Emirates and despite their current position in the table, the English club are looking at another manager.

According to Globo Esporte, the Premier League side are ‘interested’ in Brazil coach Tite. It’s claimed Arsenal have held talks with the 60-year-old, with the intention of signing him after the 2022 World Cup.

Tite already announced his decision to leave Seleção after the FIFA tournament in Qatar later this year.

Arsenal technical director Edu Gaspar worked as Brazil’s team coordinator between 2016 and 2019, and knows Tite from his time with the national team and Corinthians. As per the report, he is ‘at the forefront of the talks, which are still at an early stage’.

Arteta is currently in charge at the Emirates and Globo Esporte have made it clear that Arsenal’s intention is to ‘count on Tite’ from the 2023/24 season.

Of course, these claims are surprising, but they’re coming from more than thin air, someone is clearly pushing it in Brazil. The claim was first made on commentary during Brazil’s 4-0 win over Chile, and Globo say they’ve ‘verified’ the information.
