On Thursday, there was a lot of talk about a potential move from Arsenal for Amadou Diawara, whom Mikel Arteta sees as an alternative to Thomas Partey.
The Gunners have moved away from the Ghanaian and turned their attention to the Guinean, who is a cheaper option.
There was talk of a potential €30m bid arriving AS Roma’s way, with two separate outlets reporting it.
Well, Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday return with a bit more by claiming Arsenal are ‘very interested’ in Diawara, who isn’t ‘unsellable’ for the Italians.
In fact, the price is ‘at least’ €25m + bonuses, even if the player would ideally like to stay in Italy.
That being said, he also ‘wouldn’t say no’ to the Gunners.
As for the idea that he could be included in a swap deal with Lucas Torreira, that’s gone cold because Roma are aiming to ‘cash in and make a profit’.
It all does certainly sound promising, doesn’t it?
