Catalan newspaper Sport are making efforts to build a Malcom transfer story.

Signing the Brazilian from Bordeaux in the summer transfer window, Barcelona are struggling to even give him minimal involvement and a January transfer has already been suggested.

Several clubs are said to have asked about potentially signing the player, and whilst Tottenham are presented as looking for a permanent transfer, having been keen in the summer, Arsenal are apparently after a January loan.

The Gunners and Inter Milan are said to have initiated contact with Barcelona about taking Malcom for the second half of the current season.

A loan is something that Barca ‘have not even considered’ at this stage, but Sport point out the club are a bit heavy in the attacking department, which they probably should have considered before scuppering AS Roma’s deal to sign Malcom in the summer.

It’s unclear why Arsenal have been dragged in and it may be a continuation of the endless claims the Gunners want to sign Ousmane Dembele on loan.

Whatever the motivation behind the claims, Sport believe Unai Emery’s club want to know their chances.
