Arsenal are one of the clubs in the mix to sign Youri Tielemans in the summer.
The midfielder’s current deal runs down in 2023 and the renewal talks with his club have not yielded any result.
That’s according to Het Nieuwsblad, who state the 24-year-old is ‘preparing to leave’ the Premier League side after this season.
When talking about suitors, the Gunners are tagged. It’s claimed Manchester United have been following the Belgium international for some time, while Arsenal have been ‘hot’ in the Leicester man’s chase.
Brendan Rodgers’ side had asked €70m last summer and can no longer demand similar figures at the end of the season.
The ex-Anderlecht man’s market value is at €55m, but some sources have indicated a fee of €40m should be enough to take him away from the King Power Stadium.
Arsenal are joined by Real Madrid and Juventus, and the report states ‘all proposals will be thoroughly studied and some factors will be crucial’. Tielemans wants to join a top club that challenges for trophies and competes regularly in the Champions League.
Another Belgian newspaper Gazet van Antwerpen also explain the renewal talks between the Belgian and Leicester ‘came to nothing’.
Tielemans is ‘preparing for a summer transfer’ and his club ‘can no longer ask for an exorbitant transfer’ fee. It’s said Leicester ‘will be satisfied’ if there is an offer of €40m.
When talking about suitors, the newspaper states Arsenal are ‘hot’, while they add the player is in the target list of Juve and Real Madrid.
