With four appearances in Serie A and one in the Europa League against Manchester United, Ebrima Darboe is the latest of a long string of youngsters coming through AS Roma’s ranks to play for the first team.
Not only has he managed to convince the technical staff he deserves to fight for a spot in midfield at the age of 19, but he’s also caught the eye of two Premier League clubs in Tottenham and Arsenal.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who explain Spurs and the Gunners are ‘watching with great attention’ Darboe’s performances, as the young defensive midfielder has ‘amazed everyone with his qualities’ and charisma.
As well as attracting attention from French clubs, it’s ‘above all Arsenal who always look kindly on young player from perspective’.
That being said, it doesn’t mean Roma will sell, as the newspaper explain that Darboe ‘remains non-transferable’ except for ‘sensational offers’.
Anything below that will be ‘rejected’ by general director Tiago Pinto.
Arsenal have been warned.
