As you may have seen over the past week, Dejan Kulusevski has become a target for Arsenal.
The Sweden international hasn’t been playing all that much for Juventus this season under Max Allegri, and there’s a feeling his talent is currently being wasted at the Serie A side.
That’s where the Gunners come in, reported to recently have offered Nicolas Pépé as a bargaining chip, but Juventus would prefer money for the player should they decide to part ways with him.
Il Bianconero repeat this on Monday, claiming the Italians ‘would be willing to sell him without having to budget a loss on the €35m paid to Atalanta’.
However, ‘in the absence of adequate offers’, they are now ‘also opening up to the possibility of a loan’, which would see them retain control of the forward while he gets more regular opportunities elsewhere.
That, although the website don’t say it, could be the perfect opportunity for Arsenal, who could end up pulling off a similar deal to the Martin Ødegaard one, where they loaned him from Real Madrid to start with before spending on him the following summer.
It’s certainly something the Gunners should consider if they are unwilling to spend €35m midway through the season.
