With Arsenal against Paris Saint-Germain the main fixture of the evening on Wednesday night, the coverage in France has almost been solely about the Champions League clash.

As things stand, the two clubs are equal on points in their group, and the winner, if there is one, of the game at the Emirates will decide who finishes top of the table.

With a lot at stake, Le Parisien decided to ask beIN Sports pundit Patrice Ferri what Paris Saint-Germain needed to do to get something out of the game on Wednesday.

Explaining that Paris Saint-Germain needed to first ‘up their game’ if they are to stand a chance, the Ligue 1 champions’ main priority is to provide Edinson Cavani with some support and not only expect him to put the ball in the back of the net.

Ferri also made it clear that Unai Emery’s side will not have a specific anti-Özil plan.

Why? “Otherwise you also need one for Alexis Sanchez, then Walcott, then Giroud… It’s never ending. PSG’s problem is there. Arsenal can count on four potential scorers. That changes everything. Whereas if you stop Cavani, you’ve solved 80% of the problem.”

With no favourite in his mind, the pundit did however admit Arsenal had one weakness: their defence.

He said: “PSG still aren’t a machine that flatten everyone, but Arsenal, at the back, aren’t serene. There’s possibilities there, even if Koscielny is the boss. They’re fragile defensively, and that makes things a bit more equal.”

Carl Jenkinson, Shkodran Mustafi and Nacho Monreal might have something to say about that.
