With only three appearances made for Arsenal this season, the last of them in September, Pablo Mari is, of course, having a tough time at Arsenal.
The defender joined the Gunners on a loan move from Flamengo in January 2020, and even though the transfer was made permanent in the following summer, he never secured a place in Mikel Arteta’s team.
That’s why the rumours of an exit only grow, and today the Brazilian media has some updates on the situation.
Mari has been recently linked to a return to Flamengo, but according to Goal’s Raisa Simplicio, the player actually has other plans for the near future.
On Twitter, the journalist claims that due to his short usage, the defender ‘could even leave the club’, but his ‘priority is to continue in Europe’ instead of going back to Brazil.
Apart from the Flamengo rumours, there haven’t been many from the European media regarding other clubs wanting Mari.
So, in case he wants to leave the Emirates, it seems his agent will need to work and find new options.
