Arsenal are monitoring French goalkeeper Lucas Kayombo, reports France Football. The 13-year-old plays for FC Solitaires, based in Eastern Paris.
The Premier League side face competition from French giants Paris-Saint Germain, who are also following the young starlet.
France Football say Kayombo is considered as a ‘phenomenon’ for his age by several scouts.
It’s been reported Kayombo was voted as the best goalkeeper in the Panama Cup and Danone Cup, a regional tournament in Lille.
Arsenal reportedly are keen on signing more young talents from France, and Kayombo could be the next in line.
There isn’t much information available on the 13-year-old, but France Football say his ‘explosiveness’ and ‘impressive agility’ make him stand out from the rest.
Arsenal have signed a number of players from France under Arsene Wenger, and interest in Kayombo isn’t really a surprise.
France Football claim Kayombo could quickly sign for an academy and it’d be interesting to see if he’ll make the switch to England.
