As Inter Milan have Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun as their ‘first choice’ for the centre-forward position, newspaper Corriere Dello Sport features a long story about that today.
The outlet explains that the Gunners player has now taken over Alvaro Morata’s place at the top of the Nerazzurri’s list, and a stronger pursuit is about to start.
An intermediary is said to be handling the talks between Inter Milan and Arsenal. It was him who passed the message to the Serie A side that the price has dropped a little.
The Gunners initially demanded €50m for Balogun, according to the claims, and he can now be signed for just over €40m.
Inter Milan continue to consider that’s too much, but they’re set to insist by trying ‘through the right formula’. The starting point now is said to be €35m.
Unsurprisingly, the intention would be to make that operation through a loan with an obligatory redemption clause, with some bonuses included.
Balogun is said to be interested in joining Inter Milan, and Corriere Dello Sport say that could ‘make the difference’ for Arsenal to accept a deal.
