It seems the number of suitors for Carlos Bacca is quickly dwindling and a West Ham move could be back on after a couple of weeks of uncertainty.
The player, who was holding out for Champions League football, is quickly realising big clubs aren’t all that thrilled at the prospect of having him, and a move to the Hammers might be his best option if he is to leave AC Milan this summer.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal, who enquired, have made no official move for the Colombian, while Atlético Madrid’s president made it clear Bacca is not a part of the Spanish club’s plans for next season.
West Ham already had a deal agreed for Bacca with Milan, ready to pay up to €30m (£25.2m) for the 29-year-old, and the Italian newspaper say the striker has ‘timidly reopened’ negotiations with West Ham about a potential move.
The AC Milan striker was holding out for a hero, but it never came.
It’s now all down to West Ham to sweep him off his feet and carry him to London.
