Turkish newspaper Aksam claim Arsenal defender Shrokdan Mustafi has been offered to Galatasaray via agents.
The Turkish champions are in the market for a central defender this month after Christian Luyindama ruptured his knee ligaments on international duty in November.
Aksam report Gala’s two prime targets Simon Kjaer and Jeison Murill are unlikely to join the club in this transfer window. Subsequently they’ve began their search for alternative central defenders, with the Arsenal player now said to be an option.
It’s reported Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will ‘happily’ let him leave the Premier League club this month, but the final decision with regards to Galatasaray signing the German will be made by their manager Fatih Terim.
The 27 year old has played just 170 minutes of Premier League football for the North London side this season and seems surplus to requirements under Arteta. He’s yet to start a game under the Spaniard and also struggled for playing time under former manager Unai Emery.
His contract with the Gunners will expire at the end of June 2021.
