Arsenal are still interested in Riyad Mahrez.

This is the big news reported by Le Buteur on Thursday, as the Algerian outlet claim there’s still a chance of the forward leaving Leicester City in January, with the Gunners ‘considering’ returning with an offer during the winter transfer window.

Still according to their own sources, Arsenal are ‘currently preparing an offer’, expected to be more than the amount put forward in August (although how much that was isn’t revealed), but negotiations could take a while.

This is why Le Buteur don’t expect any deal to take place between the Foxes and Arsène Wenger’s side before the end of the January window.

Claude Puel’s arrival at King Power Stadium has done wonders for Riyad Mahrez’s form over the past few months, and it’s no surprise the Algeria international is back in the headlines.

It’s worth pointing out Le Buteur are also rooting for the move in their article, stating ‘let’s hope this will allow him to finally sign in a big club’.

What that means, we’re not sure, but they’ve decided to go big a few days before the window officially opens, and that means we could be in for an interesting few weeks.
