Arsenal are considering letting Gabriel Magalhaes leave the club this summer if Juventus were to make a move for him.

That’s according to Tuttosport, who say the Arsenal man is ‘very much liked’ by Juventus as they eye up a defensive reinforcement.

They explain that Juventus need to find a replacement for Giorgio Chiellini, and Gabriel is on their list of potential targets to do so.

The defender is aware of the interest, as are Arsenal, who are slowly ‘being convinced’ to open the door to a transfer.

Any operation would not be one carried out lightly by the Gunners as there are no doubts about the player, who has been a regular in Mikel Arteta’s defence this season.

The transfer market, though, has its own rules, and Gabriel knows he is being courted, something he may decide to act upon further down the line.

That would put Arsenal in a tricky situation, so they could look to do a deal if the finances were right for them.

Any transfer could involve midfielder Arthur, who they’re known to be fans of, and Juventus want to move on this summer, although for the minute, he remains a ‘separate initiative’.

At the moment, Juventus are yet to make their move, but Gabriel is a player they like and slightly above Nikola Milenkovic in their thinking.
