Three days ago, reports in Italy explained Arsenal have reached an ‘initial agreement’ with Fiorentina for the transfer of Dušan Vlahović.
The Gunners wanting the striker is backed by La Nazione, who say the north London club and Bayern Munich are the two new sides to ‘come forward’ to sign the Serie A star.
During the ongoing international break, La Viola leaders will be laying the groundwork for the club’s transfer business in the winter market, which will be ‘closely linked’ to what will happen to the 21-year-old.
Fiorentina’s desire is to retain the Serbia international until the end of the current season, but they will make a ‘sudden change’ in their stance, should they receive an ‘indispensable proposal’ in January. A figure of €70m and above is deemed as ‘indispensable’ offer.
Should Arsenal or any other club table a bid of €70m, then, as per the report, Fiorentina will consider cutting ties with the frontman.
Faced with the possibility of losing Vlahović, the Italian side have already identified possible replacements.
River Plate’s Julián Álvarez, FC Basel’s Arthur Cabral, Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca and Real Madrid’s Borja Mayoral [currently on loan at AS Roma] are named as targets for Fiorentina.
