Following the news that Paulo Dybala will most likely be leaving Juventus on a free at the end of the season, the transfer rumour mill has kicked off.
Among the players who could be affected by all this is Mauro Icardi, currently at Paris Saint-Germain, although he has never seemed fully valued there.
One of the clubs to have been linked in the past with the Argentine was Arsenal, and their need for a new striker could bring them to the fore again, as Calciomercato.it explain the goalscorer will be looking for pastures anew in the summer, which is also backed up by RMC Sport.
Abroad, however, both the Premier League and La Liga are leagues that have looked at Icardi ‘with interest’ in the past, with it stated the Gunners ‘could circle back’ to the Argentina international, who knows where the goal is.
Over the course of his time at Paris Saint-Germain, Icardi has scored 38 goals and assisted another 10 in 91 appearances, but it’s fairly easy to guess that in an environment where he feels more valued and where the team plays for him, that ratio could go up.
Whether that’s something Arsenal would be interested in providing him remains to be seen, but they are among those who need a striker and have taken a look at him in the past.
