It was reported this week in England that Arsenal could move for Simon Kjaer or Ömer Toprak if their Shrokdan Mustafi pursuit fails.
Turkey’s Hurriyet quickly jumped on the story to investigate Fenerbahce’s position about their most reliable player and new 2nd captain Kjaer.
It’s understood Fenerbahce’s new boss Dick Advocaat is keen to work with Kjaer but if a bid around €20M comes then Fenerbahce would seriously consider selling him.
Kjaer is loving the life in Istanbul and he recently said he wants to stay at Fenerbahce for the rest of career and become a club legend. But if Arsene Wenger comes in for him seriously, surely the Denmark international couldn’t say no to him.
Kjaer is currently earning €3M for year at Fenerbahce, which means Arsenal can easily afford the wages.
The 26-year old is a perfect partner for Laurent Koscielny. He plays safe, calm, composed football and is quick, good with his feet and can speak very fluent English.
