Arsenal have been linked with a move for Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi in the last few days.
It was suggested along with the Gunners, Paris Saint-Germain are also interested and more information has now emerged from Italy about the 24-year-old’s situation with the Lombardy side.
Calciomercato have reported while an unnamed English club had come forward for the goalkeeper in the summer, Arsenal see Carnesecchi as a target for the next summer transfer window.
The London side have been sending scouts to Italy to watch the Italian closely and the player is represented by Alessandro Lucci, who also the agent of summer signing Riccardo Calafiori.
Arsenal can make ‘direct contacts’ for Carnesecchi in the next few months to lay the foundation of a potential move in the summer transfer window say the Italian media outlet.
It’s reported the goalkeeper will stay at Atalanta in January unless massive offers arrive, but the Italian side have already set a potential price tag for the summer.
The valuation is said to be between €40m to €50m and the feeling is more clubs could come calling for Carnesecchi by then.
