Arsenal, Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the mix to sign Corinthians’ Breno Bidon this summer.
Earlier this year, we covered claims from Brazil which stated Arsenal plan to table a bid for the 20-year-old. That hasn’t happened yet, but the Gunners are joined by Brighton and Wolves in chasing the midfielder.
That’s according to UOL, and they state that as well as the Premier League trio, Sporting, Benfica and unnamed clubs from Italy, Germany and the Netherlands are in the picture.
The report further adds the Brazil U20 international has received approaches from all the aforementioned clubs. UOL explain Corinthians have to sell at least one player to balance their books and add that Bidon is the ‘most likely to leave’.
Earlier this month, he signed a new contract which lasts until December 2029 and has a €100m release clause. Despite this, the report states the South American club will negotiate the youngster’s sale for €15m.
It needs to be seen whether Arsenal, Brighton or Wolves are willing to meet Corinthians’ request.
The latest claims from the UK and Denmark have stated Brentford midfielder Christian Nørgaard is close to joining Arsenal. He mainly operates as a defensive midfielder while Bidon’s preferred position is in the middle of the pitch or as an attacking midfielder.
