For a few weeks now, Arsenal have been linked with a move for Dejan Kulusevski.

The Swede has found life a bit tougher than usual since Max Allegri’s return, nowhere near getting the same amount of game time as he was previously used to, which ultimately led to transfer rumours.

The Gunners have been the ones reportedly pushing the most for the versatile winger, previously claimed to have met his agent, and now La Repubblica continue in that direction on Tuesday.

The Italian newspaper explain Arsenal ‘insist’ on the Juventus player, whose future is ‘increasingly in the balance’.

While Tottenham are mentioned, since Fabio Paratici is a big fan, it’s their rivals who are ‘the most active team’, as ‘emissaries from the London club are expected in Italy early next week’.

It’s made clear that ‘Arteta wants Kulusevski, and is willing to put €30m + €5m in bonuses on the negotiating table’.

Juventus, down their end, ‘starts from an auction base of €40m’, but a lot will rest on the winger’s ‘willingness to marry a project that is currently not very ambitious’, referring to what is currently underway at the Emirates.

A bit harsh, considering their form of late (Everton result aside), but if he can get guaranteed game time with Arsenal, he might as well take it.

After all, it worked for Martin Ødegaard.
