Arsenal and Manchester United are scouting Hammarby youngster Bazoumana Touré and will have a representative in attendance to watch him against Häcken.
That’s according to Fotboll Skanalen, who report that several big clubs are following the 18-year-old and Arsenal and Manchester United are among them.
The newspaper reports that it is no secret that Touré is attracting the attention of big clubs in Europe. The Hammarby forward has six goals and three assists in his debut season in the Allsvenskan and that’s not gone unnoticed.
Reports have already credited numerous sides with an interest, naming the likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt, Crystal Palace, Celtic, Bayern Munich and Benfica as suitors.
None of those have made major moves at this point, at least according to sporting director Mikael Hjelmberg.
“Not so much now. But there are a lot of clubs coming to the match against Häcken (on Thursday). Since then, nothing new has happened,” he said.
However, Fotboll Skanalen has learned that Arsenal and Manchester United have both registered scouts for the Thursday’s clash at the Tele2 Arena. Leverkusen and Wolfsburg will also be there.
Hjelmberg has refused to comment on individual clubs but confirmed that they are scouting Touré at this moment in time.
“Clubs in Europe want to be at the forefront in terms of scouting, and they report that they are interested and so on. But it is nothing more than that,” he added.
“There were quite a few clubs that cancelled their place against Norrköping when they realised that he was suspended. It was a bit of fun. Then there were a lot of cancellations. But there are quite a lot of big clubs coming now. And we have known about that (the interest).
“We need to plan for a future without him. Then if it happens (a deal) this winter, next summer or even further than that, I don’t think so in and of itself… we’ll see. But the longer we get to keep him the better.”
