Dennis Gyamfi has decided against signing a new contract at Leicester City and has left the club as a free agent.

A month ago, the Leicester Mercury reported the Foxes were keen on retaining the 18-year-old, but the youngster has decided to move elsewhere.

Today’s edition of Het Laatste Nieuws discusses Arsenal and Manchester United as potential candidates for the right-back.

It’s claimed the teenager will undergo a trial with Cercle Brugge in the ‘coming days’.

The same report also mentions the Gunners and the Red Devils are ‘fishing’ to acquire the youngster’s services.

If United or Arsenal end up signing the young fullback, Brendan Rodgers’ side will be entitled to receive a compensation fee.

Should he end up joining either of the two sides, Gyamfi is likely to be part of their academy rather than their first team squad.

The Dutch youth international has made nine appearances for Leicester’s U18 side, and featured once for their U23 side in the 2019/20 season.
