Making his debut for Lech Poznán in 2018 at the tender age of 16 years and 11 months, Filip Marchwinski has slowly started making a name for himself over in Poland.
The attacking midfielder, who can play across the whole attacking front, made 11 appearances in the Ekstraklasa this year for the Polish club, scoring two goals and catching the eye of many scouts, including those at Arsenal.
That’s what Calciomercato are reporting on Tuesday, explaining the 18-year-old even held at a trial with the Emirates based club, although when isn’t said.
However, should Arsenal want to sign the player once again, they would face a lot more competition this time around, as Inter, Juventus and Atalanta in Serie A are all on his trail, with the former of the trio coming very close to signing him two years ago, only to be turned away by the Poland U19 international’s family.
There’s more competition for the Gunners around Europe too, as Ajax, Hoffenheim and Borussia Dortmund are also all lurking,
Signing an 18-year-old from Poland would be a very Arsenal move, and if Mikel Arteta wants to continue the tradition started by Arsène Wenger all those years ago, then Marchwinski could be a good place to start.
