Jesper Lindstrøm’s good start to the campaign at Eintracht Frankfurt has caught Arsenal’s attention.
The attacking midfielder is yet to find the back of the net but has three assists from 10 matches this season.
According to Bild, Arsenal are on the ‘attack’ for the 22-year-old, who joined the Bundesliga side from Brøndby in 2021 and signed a contract until 2026.
It’s claimed the Gunners are looking to strengthen the attacking midfield position in the winter market and have ‘already put out feelers’ to the Denmark international’s agent, starting initial contact.
He has a market value of €17m and a fee of under €20m would be ‘easy to handle’ for the north London club.
Mikel Arteta has Martin Ødegaard, Emile Smith Rowe and Fábio Vieira as the three players in the attacking midfield position. It wouldn’t make sense to bring in another player in the same position in January.
Lindstrøm can also operate in the wide positions and his versatility could benefit Arsenal, if they end up securing his services.
For now, the Premier League side have ‘put out feelers’ to the Dane’s agent and time will tell whether they will make a firm approach for him in the next window.
