A couple of days ago, Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Arsenal were taking a certain interest in Mario Balotelli.

We’re going to be honest, we didn’t cover it because we missed it, lost among many other slightly more realistic stories, but it’s been brought up again by the Italian newspaper, so we felt obliged to write something about it this time around.

There’s been some developments since then regarding a potential move to the Gunners for Balotelli, and by that we mean there’s been a slight increase of 5% in his chances of signing.

Gazzetta love a good pie chart, and Wednesday’s edition of the newspaper claimed there was a 10% probability of the former Manchester City striker ending up at the Emirates next season.

Fast forward to Friday, and we’re now at 15%, even if there’s no mention whatsoever of Balotelli to Arsenal in the text surrounding the graphics.

Marseille remain the favourites at 30%, as the forward wouldn’t have to move far to make the switch and would still play Europa League, while Borussia Dortmund come in second at 25% as they seek a new forward to replace Michy Batshuayi.

He’d apparently cost around €10m.

Look, we’re not saying we don’t believe it, but we don’t really believe it.
