Antony is impressing during his loan stint away from Manchester United.

He has two goals and two assists in five La Liga games for Real Betis and is already winning over many in Spain. He also starred in the club’s 2-1 win over Real Madrid at the weekend.

The Brazilian is currently expected to return to Manchester United in the summer transfer window. Real Betis’ CEO Ramón Alarcón has spoken to Canal Sur’s ‘El Pelotazo’ about the winger’s future, revealing that the player wants to stay at the Spanish club for another season.

He said, as relayed by MundoDeportivo: “The other day Antony told me that he wanted to stay another year.

“The player is very comfortable here and was surprised by the facilities we gave him to settle in the city as soon as he arrived.”

Considering how Manchester United weren’t able to get consistency from Antony, another loan stint away from Old Trafford would be attractive for the 25-year-old.

He has 12 goals and five assists in 96 games in all competitions for the Red Devils but only five of those goals came in the Premier League.

Another loan deal at Real Betis can help Antony find his best form and this can potentially make sure that Manchester United sell him on for a high value.

However, should a reasonable offer arrive in the summer for a permanent exit then that would surely be preferable to Manchester United.
