Chelsea have reportedly not given up on signing Victor Lindelof yet. In a story that refuses to die, the Swedish international is once again being linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

According to Portuguese newspaper Record in their Benfica section on Wednesday, the Blues have a list of defenders who they want to sign this month, and the Benfica ace is among them.

The newspaper says the other two Chelsea targets are Marquinhos from PSG and Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli. In case they fail to land both, they are going after the Swedish international.

Lindelof has a €30m release clause, which Benfica are planning to raise to €45m by giving him a new contract. Inter Milan are said to be currently winning the race for the defender, but they will only make an offer once they sell one of their players for the position.

It’s hard to believe Antonio Conte’s shopping list sees him go from Koulibaly and Marquinhos to Lindelof, who is still working to really establish himself as a star at Benfica.
