Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has reportedly reawakened his interest in the Juventus left-back Alex Sandro. These rumours first showed up during the summer window, and now, according to Calcio Mercato.it, the manager is thinking of signing the Brazilian again.
Even though Marcos Alonso has been doing well in the position, the website claims that Conte would still be working on landing the 25-year-old.
But Chelsea wouldn’t find it easy to sign the player, since Juventus have no plans of letting him go. The club are currently considering the situation of Patrice Evra, who could have his contract cut short due to the Old Lady’s priority on making Alex Sandro the number one left-back in the squad.
Juventus paid €26m to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus in 2015, and even though Transfermarkt currently rate him at €30m, we reckon the Italian club would demand more than that to release him.
These rumours are regular and usually goes something like this: ‘Big Premier League club want Alex Sandro, Big Premier League club can’t have Alex Sandro’
