On Wednesday, Tuttosport stated Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici are looking at Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni and Torino’s Gleison Bremer as options for Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Later that day, the Italy international’s agent stressed the Inter defender will not be leaving the San Siro, after meeting with the Nerazzurri leaders.
The former Chelsea manager had managed Bastoni during his two-year spell at Inter and had reportedly been keen on reuniting with the player at the north London club this summer.
Conte’s desire to secure Bastoni’s services has been backed up by Italian journalist Gian Luca Rossi. He went on to claim the Spurs coach has sent out a warning about his transfer plans.
“It is no mystery that Antonio Conte likes Bastoni. Indeed, from the information I have gathered, Conte is ready to put a spoke in the wheel at Inter,” he told Telelombardia, relayed by FcInter1908.
“The message that Conte sent to Inter is more or less: if you don’t leave Bastoni with me, I’ll go to Bremer.”
The Torino defender has long been on the target list of Simone Inzaghi’s side. Having failed to take the Brazilian in January, they have decided to make an approach for him this summer.
