The future of James Rodriguez has once again been thrown into the air, after the Real Madrid player hinted he could consider a winter transfer. That’s led to several clubs being linked with a move, and Chelsea are very much among them.

Spanish newspaper AS report on Tuesday that five clubs are interested in signing James. Manchester United, Inter Milan, Chelsea, PSG and Bayern Munich.

That should therefore be that. If Conte is against a Chelsea purchase, especially one as big as James, then Roman Abramovich surely shouldn’t go ahead and try and make a deal anyway.

Of course, it’s unknown just how AS would be aware that Conte isn’t too fussed about signing James.
