Chelsea loanee Charly Musonda is reportedly ready to have his first chance to play for the London club.
The player, who’s been having a loan spell at Betis, is back at the club and will be evaluated by the Blues until the last days of the winter window, according to Belgian website DH.
That goes against what most outlets have been saying, as Musonda was expected to be loaned out again.
But due to the sale of Oscar and Victor Moses’ time at the African Cup of Nations, manager Antonio Conte will have two new spots in midfield in January. And that will mean a chance for the Belgian player.
Despite having signed for Chelsea in 2012, Musonda has never debuted for the first team, having only played for the U-18, U-19 and U-21 teams.
DH claims that he’ll have until 20th on January to convince Antonio Conte. That’s when the manager will decide whether he should stay in the squad or be loaned out again. Roma are said to be the most likely destination in the latter case.
