Chelsea youngster Bertrand Traoré is currently participating in pre-season training in the United States.
However, it’s uncertain if Traore will be kept at the club next season, or sent on loan to get some regular playing time.
According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf on Friday, Traore is Ajax’s first choice to replace Arkadiusz Milik, who is expected to sign for Napoli.
De Telegraph, however, admit Ajax’s chances of signing 20 year old Traore are limited at the moment.
Ajax can offer the player regular playing time, but should wait for Antonio Conte to make a decision about his future.
It is reported a decision could be made towards the end of the transfer window, and that is the last week of August.
It remains to be seen if Ajax are willing to wait till the end of August, as there are other names on their list.
Traore managed just around 700 minutes of football for Chelsea last season, and had 5 goals to his name.
