It’s been a few years since we last saw Manchester United linked to Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie, but with the player’s current great season at Milan, we get an interesting story from Italy today.
Former Rossoneri striker Antonio Cassano has been speaking to BoboTV, and made some comments regarding the 24-year-old recent for with the club.
When praising Kessie, Cassano listed a few clubs he sees the midfielder potentially playing for in the future, and even named some of the players who he could end up replacing.
“Kessié can play in any team in Europe, he could have problems at City but he would also play there and certainly in all teams,” said Cassano (via FC Inter 1908).
“Even today he can play for Real Madrid instead of Casemiro, Manchester United instead of McTominay or Bayern in Goretzka’s place”.
Manchester United fans had the chance to have a look at Franck Kessié in action when the Red Devils faced Milan for the Europa League’s round-of-16 in the past few weeks.
The midfielder played for the full 90 minutes in both games, and had his performances praised by most of the media.
However, other than there being no real rumours regarding Manchester United’s desire to sign him, we’re also pretty sure the Old Trafford faithful is happy with Scott McTominay’s form for their club as well.
