We always expect clubs who appoint a Portuguese manager to be linked to Liga NOS players an impressive number of times. That’s exactly what is happening with Pedro Caixinha’s Rangers right now.

After several players before him, Rangers are now said to be following Pedro Rebocho, a young left-back from Moreirense.

A Bola who report the Ibrox interest, but they don’t have much more information on it. They only claim Rangers have competition from French club Guingamp.

The possibility of a move to France had already been made public last week, and the 22-year-old even teased about the transfer at the time, saying he knew the club and would be happy to go.

Rebocho spent his entire career in Benfica’s academy until moving to Moreirense last summer. That’s when he finally had the chance to play first team football, and made 34 appearances this season, with six assists.

Benfica are likely to have some sort of sell-on fee, which could be where Caixinha interest has been encouraged from. Rangers are looking to do several pieces of business with Benfica, and Rebocha’s name could have been thrown in.
